Amy Dufford Morgan, 87, of Roanoke Rapids passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Floyd LeMoyne Dufford and Myrtle Aretta Parker Dufford and the wife of the late William Richard Morgan.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Richard LeMoyne Morgan and Gary Kent Morgan; two brothers, Tom Dufford and Francis Dufford; and her sister, Charmin Dufford.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Sue Morgan Joyner and her husband, Terry of Roanoke Rapids; her son, Tommy Morgan and wife, Juliana of Wilmington; 5 grandchildren, Kimberly Tharpe and her husband, Tommy, Michael Todd Morgan and his wife, Christie, Morgan J. Keeter and her husband, Gus, Donna Griffies and her husband, Scott, Kay Allen and her husband, Jay; 8 great-grandchildren, Jacob and Taylor Griffies, Ryan, Zachary and Cole Tharpe, Emilee and Madison Allen, and Camden Keeter; her sister, Sue Hergenroder of Ohio; and special friend, Vicki Trignano of Henrico.

Amy was a graduate of Butler Senior High School in Butler County, PA. She was also a founding member of the Roanoke Rapids Senior Club.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services, with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
